Positive: The property is greatly located, walking distance from the lake. The staff are super nice and accommodating, also the hotel and the hotel and staff are super dog-friendly.

Negative: I personally do not love carpet on the floors, but more than that, everything was great

Positive: Warm welcome. Off street parking. Few minutes from breathing Lago di Poschiavo and the Bernina Express train stop.

Negative: Facilities are a little dated. Electric sockets are not standard European (Yes, it's Switzerland ) so incompatible with plugs from Italy, France, Germany etc... impossible therefore to recharge phones or use other appliances you might bring with you unless you have an adapter - perhaps reception provides adapters, we didn't ask to be fair.

Positive: Exceptional hotel. The staff is very friendly. Restaurant has bio (organic) options. The food is really well-made and not expensive. Bikes can be locked inside. Not everything is perfectly new but that actually makes it feel much more welcoming. Big recommendation!

Positive: Comfortable mattress, soft and big towels, very soft and thick toilet paper, clean and modernised.

Negative: Not sound proofed, thin pillow, too thick and warm blanket, not much character (restaurant).

Positive: I wanted to explore the Bernina Railway and with the trains going right past the hotel it was perfect for that! There was an unexpected perk of a free Bernina train pass for the duration of my stay which was wonderful as the train was the reason for my staying there.

Negative: I used the hotel restaurant all of my 3 nights there and the food was great. The only problem was the menu is only in German and Italian, so if you don't speak those languages then have your phone translator ready! Though it turns out to be the case in all the restaurants in this area. The bathroom shower is wonderful, though with no drain on the bathroom floor outside the shower, water spilling from the shower will make a puddle on the bathroom floor that stays there until the chambermaid comes!

Summary: If you want to explore the Bernina Express, this hotel is for you!
